For me spirituality is living with the belief that we are spiritual beings having a human experience which really only means one big thing – there’s a hell of a lot more going on when we EXPERIENCE something.
Yes, what we see with our two human eyes is indeed happening, but if we are a bunch of spirits hanging out down here on earth in human form for the sake of experiencing certain situations so we can learn/grow/evolve, then nothing that typically is seen as bad, stressful or unjust can be merely taken at face value. I mean really, if my soul left the comforts of the “other side” where there is no such thing as menstrual cramps, heart-break, or winter weather, just so it could experience humanly stuff, then I would like to place all of my chips on the part of the board that says THINGS DON’T SUCK JUST FOR THE SAKE OF SUCKING.
When we can see the great opportunity to evolve that lies within the muckeddy-muck we’re standing in, the seeing-at-face-value-suffering can end and the next step to take is very clear. Can you see your earthly dramas from a higher perspective? Can you see your “stress” in a different light?
I am left with the idea that the solution to everything lies in our ability to ask ourselves, “what is REALLY going on here? What am I being set up to learn?”
When challenges come your way, go beyond the face value and get curious about what lesson your soul has signed up to learn. When the lesson is seen, you’ll know what to do to truly LEARN IT. Because that lesson is why you’re having this human experience and putting that lesson into practice is absolutely the thing to do – there’s your solution.
There. Done. Everything solved. Whew.
