Meet Susan Stewart…
Susan Stewart is a recovering stand-up comic turned Human Resources Professional turned author and inspirational speaker – long story, but here’s what happened in a nutshell…
After touring Canada with 3 one-woman shows and performing at various comedy clubs for 5 years, Susan decided to leave the “biz” because the fame and paparazzi attention just got to be too much for poor Susan. Not really, but that reason sounds cool in a bio. After leaving stand-up comedy, Susan then found herself working in a Human Resources branch within the Ontario Government. Comedy to Human Resources…a natural progression, don’t you think? Ahem. Throughout her shockingly enjoyable and passionate career as a organizational learning and development consultant, Susan became inspired to get back on stage and use her comedic powers for good, rather than evil!
Since 2005, Susan has been traveling around Canada helping people see the lighter side of work and life.
With her memorable high energy and quick wit, Susan has rocked the mic for many private and public-sector organizations, school boards, universities, and associations.
Susan is a contributing author of four self-development books: Awakening The Workplace – Volume 3, The Master Mind Group, Bushido Business, and From The Stage To The Page – Life Lessons From Four Funny Ladies.
Susan is also a popular event host. A veteran of the stage, Susan has brought fun and laughter to many corporate and special events. Susan has been known to have the “Billy Crystal-Appeal” and is often invited to host an annual event multiple times. Susan hosted Ottawa’s Women In The New Century Conference in 2007, 2008, and 2009 and has also hosted the Richard Ivey School of Business’ Homecoming Party in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Susan is a proud member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.
