Meet Susan Stewart…
Susan Stewart is a recovering stand-up comic turned Organizational Learning and Development Consultant turned author and inspirational speaker. After touring Canada with 3 one-woman shows and performing at comedy clubs for 5 years, Susan decided to quit stand-up comedy (the fame and paparazzi attention just got to be too much) which then led her to working in a Human Resources department in the Ontario Government. Comedy to HR…a natural progression, don’t you think? Ahem. It was in the midst of her Human Resources career when Susan became inspired to get back on stage and use her comedic powers for good, rather than evil!
Since leaving her Human Resources career in 2008, Susan has been traveling around North America helping people reclaim their true nature (which is joy) by seeing the lighter side of the changes and challenges that unfold at work and in life. With her memorable high energy and humour, Susan is a popular speaker that specializes in kicking off and wrapping up events with lots of laughter and light.
Susan’s clients include many private and public-sector organizations, school boards, universities, and professional associations.
Susan is a contributing author of four inspirational books: Awakening The Workplace – Volume 3, The Master Mind Group, Bushido Business, and From The Stage To The Page – Life Lessons From Four Funny Ladies. Susan’s first very own book, Reaching The Laugh Resort, is now available.
Susan is also a popular event host. A veteran with the microphone, Susan has hosted many corporate and special events. As an event host, Susan has been known to have the “Billy Crystal-Appeal” and is often invited to host an event multiple times. Susan hosted Ottawa’s Women In The New Century Conference in 2007, 2008, and 2009 and also hosted the Richard Ivey School of Business’ Homecoming Party in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Susan is a proud member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.
