The Awesome Realization Of Why It’s Better That Things Didn’t Work Out

Besides deciding to just not give a damn, realizing why it’s better that things didn’t work out is the best way to lighten up and live with more ease.

So much stress is created by thinking that things are going “wrong” and worrying that things aren’t going to work out, so when you start noticing that everything that hasn’t happen in your life has been just as well-timed and well-orchestrated as the stuff that has happened in your life, that can save you from a lot of struggle – not to mention money spent on therapy, long-distance phone calls to your mother, and/or mood-altering substances.

Have you noticed that your failures were simply experiences that helped you understand where your strengths lie?

When you fall short in anyway, life is holding up a big, neon sign pointing you in another direction. Life is asking you to recognize and own your truth a bit more. One of the most effective ways to know when something is meant to be is that it’s easy.

Have you noticed that the friends who have left or disappeared did you a favour?

Whether is a subtle fade and the dates are blurry or it’s more definitively done over emails or text messages, you can’t deny that each friendship that has come to an end has served your spirit (and most likely your health) well. You haven’t missed them the way you thought you would and the extra space in your “friend basket” has been filled with light.

Have you noticed that not getting your “dream job” led you to getting a job you love?

We humans tend to have some serious limited thinking when it comes to the options we have to be fulfilled and happy. Thankfully life can dream bigger than we can for ourselves.

Have you noticed that your relationship ending and/or your heart getting broken was because the love of your life was still waiting for you?

Sometimes bringing two people together takes a long time, some tricky business, and the path they follow to meet each other contains at least one valley.

Have you noticed that if your world hadn’t fallen apart, this couldn’t have come together?

It’s all about space. Lots of open space is needed to create something big.

Life is on your side. Life has shown you time and time again that it has your back – even when things don’t turn out the way you want. Knowing and trusting that there is perfection in the imperfection rather than getting stressed is the delightful by-product that comes along with that awesome realization of why it’s better that things didn’t work out.

Just because it’s really painful, doesn’t mean that it’s not the best thing for you in the long run.

Everything goes to plan – it just might not be the plan that you had in mind.

I try to live life this way. It’s hard to remember when you are in a transition in your life. Thanks for the reminder.
